HOTHFIELD GODINTON

A walk down to the Great stour river and through farmland to the south,through some woods ,then into Godinton Park,and back along the Stour Valley walk to Hothfield Church.It was cold to start,then we warmed up,disrobed,then it became cold again and so on.It rained on the way home in the car (not in the car)
as previously promised.Let the pictures tell their own story.......

DENSTEAD WOODS

 RV @ Selling rail station and then up the footpath and into the woods,there's no point telling you where we went cos I got lost again.We were off piste and came upon a compound that included  a couple of attack dogs,and as we were where we were not supposed to be ,we struck off north into the woods with me at the front setting a brisk pace.Lots of mapreading etc,but as you can see ,trees look much alike.
Gradually we  orientated ourselves and after coffee headed west  and returned to the station after a little rest on a hillside in the sun,watching jet vapour trails.

A lovely sunny day,warm,6 of us 6.5 miles no injuries.
