Specially taken for the Leysdowners is Shellness beach.From that location  we were just to the right and behind the Dunkirk radio tower.

Barry has the right idea ,a map reading query,as some of the footpaths dive off in the general direction,but then twist left or right.

RAMBLINGS BBC R4 JOIN US

Last week was a dummy run for today's recording when Clare Balding and Helen Chetwynd joined us for the BBC Radio 4 programme,Ramblings .
We met at Wye ,train to Chilham and walked back down the North Downs Way in the Kings Wood at Challock.We then cut across country in open fields to Wye.
6 miles 8 of us grey skies no rain .

Someone has shoved a cushion up my fleece.

Then a quick drink in the Tickled Trout Pub then home.
