Lenham

On a slightly chilly morning but with the sun bright in the sky 6 of us met up at Lenham car park. Then across the square resisting the temptations of a cake shop we walked through the grounds of the church and headed on a footpath to East Lenham . This was a walk that was mainly new to us and based on a really good book of local walks . Past East Lenham on through Mount Castle Farn and Lenham Heath . This was a really lovely walk past a few ponds of various sizes . Then after a walk in a disused pit now back in its natural state we picked up the Stour Valley Walk , this led via the local sewage works back into Lenham . Here we purchased the well earned ice cream . About 5 miles
