Shorne-Cobham

Once again we were low on numbers with our two ex teachers not up to our strenuous walk !!! So just 4 of us set off from Shorne Country Park on an overcast and damp morning . We left the country park via its entrance , across the Brewers Road and headed down hill then just under the railway bridge joined the well signposted footpath . By this time the sun had got his hat on and become like a summers day so a quick stop to take our coats off. Setting off up one of many hills we entered Cobham Woods . With the sun breaking through the trees that had started to change colour it had become a day to cherish being retired . GY and LD please note . After quite a few very muddy paths and more hills we came to Brockles , a view point with a seat that is a a work of art . We enjoyed the moment with a sit down and cuppa Then up even more hills until we entered the village of Cobham . It was simply trough the village then back onto the footpath in Cobham woods to Shorne Country Park where out out oldest member brought us a cup of coffee A really hard but enjoyable walk Guess 6-7 miles
