Tankerton-Herne Bay

We were going stir crazy after the Christmas break so we met up at Tankerton for an old codgers stroll . The sea was grey and a bit choppy and the sky full of dark clouds but at least it was outside . Six of us set off along the cliff tops towards Herne Bay in the distance .At the first opportunity we dropped down to the beach and walked along the promenade past a series of beach huts and boats moored up along the beach . Then past the area set aside for nudist, none around Here is was very muddy and highlighted how much rain we had this winter. Carrying on we past Hampton Pier then still following the coast line into Herne Bay where we had a nostalgic  walk on the pier. Then onto the local cafe for a welcome drink. We then slowly retraced our steps but as it had started to rain is was not such a good walk back to the cars
