On a lovely sunny morning 8 of us met at the car park in Charing and promptly went to the local tea shop in the high street for tea and for some tea and toast .
Forcing ourselves we left the tea shop and headed up hill through Charing , cross a very busy main road and headed in the direction of the Pilgrims Way .
Before reaching the PW we followed the public footpath signs and headed up a VERY STEEP HILL , that was to prove just the first one on many .
We past the really lovely windmill, but no longer doing what it was built for then still following the footpaths followed a route shown on the web site FANCY FREE WALKS LINK, well worth looking at
All the paths were very muddy and ruined but being used by the local horse society
Rather than describe the walk here I suggest you look at the above web site .
After very many STEEP hills we came to the village of Stalisfield but ignoring the local pub we pressed on to the return leg of the walk .
Very enjoyable walk but probably better in the summer when hopefully it will not be as muddy
About 7.5 miles
Just outside Charing

Just one of the very steep hills this photo does not show how steep

Note they are leaving me behind

Just another muddy pathway

Told you there were lots of steep hills

Fancy a caravan holiday
