On a really sunny morning 7 of us met up in the village of Cuxton to try a walk known as "Cuxton Community Heritage Trail "
After walking once a week for the last 9 years or so we find it hard to do a walk we have never tried before but this was such a one
We met up by the village library then set off to find the start of the walk just off Poplicans Rd
From then on it seems we went up six hills for every one we went down
We start by going up Mill Hill to Brockles , Here well worth stopping for 10 minutes to enjoy the view  then restart going through Kitchen Field then Birch Wood  Then  we skirt Cobham Park and through Great Wood This is roughly half way.Again a nice place for a coffee stop The walk continued through Clay Pond Wood with the glorious sun breaking through the trees Past Quarry Shaw ,Long Hoes Wood then back to the RV point The map states 4 miles but we made it just under 6 , Great company  and brilliant Kent countryside

Herne Bay

knowing that the local footpaths would be rather muddy we chose a walk we knew would be dry underfoot
5 of us met up at Hampton Pier Herne Bay on a very cloudy day then simple followed the path along side the beach towards Reculver Towers
The sun did poke its head out now and then making it a pleasant day not to be at work
As we did not deviate from this path not a lot to report , very few people about for some reason
With an eye on the time we  only went as far as the concrete path would allow we  took the steps to the top of the cliffs, through the woods then back down to the sea front and headed back to Hampton
Stopped in a local café for a drink and eat by some
total about 7 1/2 miles
It's Deja Vu all over again!

with the sun shining 7 of us old codgers met up at the Country Park Aylesford unfortunately the tea hut was being rebuilt so going without an early cuppa we set off
Leaving the park we crossed the busy Aylesford road , followed the footpath until we cam to the towpath at the River Medway .
Then we simply followed the path past the Malta Inn , where some stopped for coffee Then onwards following the river until we came to Maidstone Nothing exciting to describe , a 10 min break at Maidstone the a simple retracing our steps again stopping off at the Malta for a drink
A easy 7 miles with good company and proving its better than working
