We set up east following the path that in turn follows the sea shore , Despite the chilly start to the day there were a lot of people out and about walking their dogs, or simply enjoying the sea air .
This path leads passed a mobile home camp then loads of beach huts some needing a dash of paint . Eventually we arrived at Whitstable and its working harbour , this is always my favourite part of this walk with the fishing boats and various working boats . After stopping for a coffee some of the walkers had to search out a local butchers that sold meat pies .
Suitably refreshed we simply we retraced out steps but by this time the sun had come out and we all got rather too warm 8 plus miles in all
