By Bike.Train Snod-Strood the over the tri-bridge and on to the riverside walk from Gasworks lane,(new)and unfinished.
Lots of money been thrown at this, and although I have worked on the river from time to time, some of the views were completely new to me.It was a little rainy and overcast, but that just added to the
picturesque nature of the views. We went as far as the COMMAND HOUSE then turned round. Serendipitously,we found a new cafe/restaurant which was excellent, the girl was addressed in POLISH  but was GERMAN ,and just thought it was funny,Excellent Coffee and Bacon Bap sitting outside.Met some very interesting people and this is a ride we will do again ,even in winter.
Some photos below

The Russian Sub lurking
The Cafe/Restaurant,warm welcome, good coffee, good food, good laugh, good company and a good location next to the Riverside Path at the western  end.
It looks like he's shooting up?
This stretch of river can be bitingly cold in winter
Thats the sun over there at Upnor castle
Rochester Cathedral in the distance

A cluster of barges and a tug

Looking across to the timber importer

This crane is on 30' of rail line and has been left in situ, although,at night who know what it gets up to?

A Pirate ship flying the requisite flag
I shouted AVAST BEHIND! at it but only got loud muttering in reply

Its down BATH HARD LANE/ DOUST LANE (the Cafe ) and is under new ownership.
You could drive down there if you are lazy
