Linton

This weeks outing started out with seven of us meeting up at the car park adjacent to the church at Linton on a very foggy and cold day We were honoured with the presence of one of the originators of this walking group .As I never have the faintest idea where we go this week I asked our leader to put together the following directions

Park in St Nicholas church car-park then head east beside Linton Park to Loddington Farm, cross road follow track to Boughton Monchelsea church. From here follow Greensand Way past Deer Park to track sign on your right,go down hill path and into Deer Park on your right and follow pathway right to gateway onto a lane.Turn right and follow lane to T-junction turn left then right at pathway sign just past Church Farm Barn and follow path through a wood then an apple orchard to a lane. Turn left and then right at next pathway sign into Linton Park then keep on path to gate at A229 just below Linton village.Cross road turn right then left at Wheelers Lane and after about 800m turn left at Barnes Lane for about 250m then right at pathway sign beside Bramley Cottage.Walk up right hand side of orchard to a gate turn right up hill and over a stile to a lane turn left and then right at sign showing the way back to Linton Church car-park.
