The forecast was rain, whichever way you looked at it.Heavy-Medium and relentless. It turned out to be inaccurate as we only had light rain and were prepared with waterproofs. We went east from Charing along roads, stopped for a break at Westwell by the Wheel Pub then climbed up to the North Downs Way
and turned back west.A little muddy ,but not as bad as the low level walk we had planned to make.
We popped in to the warm Rose Tea Room for a pot of tea and a discussion about something or other.
We did in excess of 6 miles which wasn't too tiring.

This cat was turned to stone by a witch

Which New Year and which calendar are they advertising?

Looking towards Hothfield

I remember this seat being placed as a memorial in 1997 but today there was a sharp CRACK!and a pillow of the community was unceremoniously dumped on his derriere.
